St. Kitts overwhelmed by T&T
Trinidad and Tobago advanced to the Shell/Umbro semi finals with a convincing 3-0 win over host St. Kitts and Nevis. Playing before a full house of 2,000 at Warner Park, it did not take T&T long to get on the score board. Jerren Nixon scored in the 6th and 44th minutes. His second goal came from a counter attack started by Lebanon based Peter Prosper. Prosper fed a ball to a unmarked Nixon who tapped it in past the St.Kitts goalie. Captain David Nahkid added the the third goal in the 26th minute with a header. In the second half St. Kitts played better but were stoned by goalie Clayton Ince. Trinidad and Tobago play Jamaica on Thursday night in the semi final. |
