Barbados humiliates T&T
Trinidad and Tobago suffered a humiliating lost to Barbados in a friendly at Palo Seco. T&T is in a state of rebuilding and this game proved that they have a long way to go. The team can be described as the "no-name squad" as the footballing public was unaware of the members of the squad. Barbados scored in the eight minute when Queens Park Rangers striker Gregory Goodridge shot rebounded off goalie Clayton Ince only to have the ball tapped in by Jerry Alexander to keep the Bajans up for good. Trinidad and Tobago had their moments when the surged down the right side several times. However, they could not get pass the stacked Bajan defense playing with only one man upfront. Their was a ten minute barrage on the Bajan defence, however it proved futile as both teams settled down. This lost is almost certainly going to hurt T&T chances in the Fifa world rankings. T&T: Clayton Ince, Anthony Pierre, Richard Theodore, Addison Belfour, Marvin Andrews, Marvin Gorgeon, Stokely Mason, Ricardo Aleong, Adaryll John, Gary Glasgow, Mark Borde, Ross Russell, Marlon Austin, Angus Eve, Travis Mulraine, Darin Lewis, Marlon Grant and Addae Rique. |
