W Connection will begin their Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Championship 2009 on Wednesday when they visit Dominican club 4D Ag Centre Bath Estate.

The three-time CFU champions and TT Pro League powerhouse will leave Trinidad on Tuesday morning for Dominica. The match will be contested at the Winsdor Park, Roseau from 7pm.

Coach Stuart Charles Fevrier has selected a 17-man squad for the encounter minus players Trinidad and Tobago internationals Andrei Pacheco, goalkeeper Marvin Phillip and Clyde Leon all selected for T&T’s warm-up against Panama on Wednesday.

W Connection will have the services of veteran defender and captain Elijah Joseph for the away encounter. He will be the most experienced player in the 17-man squad named for Wednesday's match.

However Fevrier is confident of his charges ahead of the encounter.

He told ‘ttproleague.com’, “This season we have a talented and young squad with enough quality to get the job done in Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago.”

Goalkeepers Miguel Lloyd, Murilo Da Costa, Elijah Joseph, Eder Gilmar Arias, Kemuel Rivers, Nickcolson Thomas, William Da Silva Oliveira, Hughtun Hector, Kern Cupid, Kelvin Modeste, Kevon Woodley, Andre Toussaint, Kerron Smith, Matthew Bartholomew, Jonathon Frias, Christian Viveros and Gerrard Williams were all named for the Dominica trip against CB Estate.

Coach Stuart Charles Fevrier, assistant coaches Brian Williams and Jose Luis Seabra, team manager Raymond Mc Lean, Renee John-Williams, goalkeeping coach Trevor Nothingham, physical trainer Wayne Lawson and equipment manager John Jerry will make up the traveling technical staff.

The team is expected to return to Trinidad on Thursday night.
