All roads led to the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva earlier this month as the winners of the Digicel Pro League, Central FC, faced off against the Pro Bowl champions, Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force

Central FC and the T&TDF battled for the $10,000 cash prize which was donated to a charity of their choice.

Central scored twice with the Defence Force responding with one in the first half. However, after the resumption, the Army/Air/Coast Guard unit found the equaliser, sending the game into penalties which saw the ‘Couva Sharks' coming out victorious.

Taking in the action were Central FC Assistant Coach Stern John as well as Soca Warriors skipper Kenwyne Jones, who participated in the charity match, playing as a forward for Central.

The Digicel Brand Ambassadors were also on hand, adding colour and flair to the occasion with their cheerleading dance routines. One lucky patron beat out five other competitors in the Digicel half-time skills competition and walked away with $1,000, courtesy the telecommunications company.

The first match of the Digicel Pro League starts next week Friday (September 30).
