Tyrese Spicer’s first taste of NCAA soccer was in the spring of 2021 and he did not disappoint. He scored three goals and added an assist in six matches for Lipscomb University. “I was grateful to have a good spring season because I felt really prepared for that season,” Spicer told BGN. “Even though it was a short season for me because of injuries, I was able to continue to learn off the pitch information about my team and learned a lot from my observation of our opponents.”

Tyrese Spicer named ASUN Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week
For the second-consecutive week, Lipscomb and Central Arkansas brought home the ASUN Conference Men's Soccer Weekly Awards as the 23rd-ranked Bisons' Tyrese Spicer was named Player of the Week, while Alberto Suarez earned the Defensive Player of the Week nod, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Spicer recorded a hat trick in Lipscomb's 4-1 comeback win at Evansville to earn his first career weekly award. Suarez led UCA to a pair of 1-0 shutout wins, scoring both goals against Elon and UAB. Both Spicer and Suarez have led their respective teams to a pair of undefeated records (4-0) to begin the season.
