The Illinois State soccer team has announced the addition of Brendon Boucaud as a volunteer assistant coach. Boucaud joins the staff after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach for the Dayton Flyers men's soccer program.
"I would like to thank head coach Brad Silvey and the staff for bringing me on board. Illinois State University is a very tight knit community and fosters a family oriented tradition that leaves a lasting impact on each individual. I am honored to be a part of the Redbird family and I look forward to playing a pivotal role in the development of current and future student athletes."
Boucaud played collegiate soccer for three different programs; New Mexico, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Central Methodist. He played at CMU from 2011 to 2013, serving as the captain in both 2012 and 2013 and receiving multiple HAAC All-Conference honors. After finishing his playing career, Boucaud went on to coach at Central Methodist University as a graduate assistant and an assistant coach, while also coaching the CMU junior varsity program.
"Brendon is a tremendous addition to our Redbird soccer program," said coach Brad Silvey. "I am confident he will have an immediate and positive impact with our student-athletes and our staff. His background, experience, knowledge, and character all fall into a category of excellence."
The St. Ann's, Trinidad and Tobago native earned his Master's degree in Education from Central Methodist University, he also earned his Bachelor's from CMU, with a degree in Science in Sports Management.
