Former St Anthony’s and Queen’s Royal College midfielder Shaquille Huggins has been added to the Quinnipiac men’s football team roster for their upcoming 2014 College campaign in the United States, joining the University on a football scholarship.
Huggins joins Tanor Jobe, William Pustari, Maxamilian Rothenbuecher, John-John Diaz and James Greco who have also signed to play at Quinnipiac this year. Huggins was also a member of the Harvard Club and Step-by-Step football academy.
Quinnipiac head coach Eric Da Costa said he was eager to see how Huggins will fit into his team’s plans for this season.
“Shaquille is a strong and physical midfielder with good technical ability. Shaquille will give us a different option in the center of the park and his strengths will compliment other players in our squad.
“We look forward to adding him to the group and helping him transition into the team,” Da Costa said.
