Freshman E.J. Reutemann (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) scored two goals in the opening three minutes, 35 seconds of the game, and the Cortland men’s soccer team went on to defeat Morrisville St., 7-0, in SUNYAC action Saturday afternoon in Morrisville. The Red Dragons improved to 4-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference, while the Mustangs fell to 2-6-2 and 0-3.

Senior Bryan Patterson (Farmingdale) collected a goal and an assist, and seniors Ayinde George (Arima, Trinidad/San Juan) and Dave Jacques (Warwick/Don Bosco Prep), junior Mike Jock (Altona/Beekmantown) and freshman Brendan Wells (Wantagh/MacArthur) each notched a goal for the Red Dragons. Senior Kyle Stepanovsky (Endicott/Union-Endicott) collected three assists in the game. Senior goalie Jack Carillo (Cornwall/Ramapo) made one save in 64:55 before giving way to sophomore Patrick Pidgeon (Williamsville/Williamsville South), who did not need to stop a shot in the final 25:05.
