Christian CabralTwo second half goals lifted the No. 16 West Florida men's soccer team past Harding University 2-1 Sunday afternoon in Searcy, Ark. Senior Christian Cabral (Trinidad and Tobago/St. Anthony's College) netted the deciding goal in the match to help improve the Argos to 2-0 in GSC play.

After a scoreless first half from both teams, the Bison would strike three minutes into the second half. Jay Skinner would head a ball into the net off a corner kick for the first goal of the match giving the Bison a 1-0 lead.

Down by one, the Argonauts would respond ten minutes later in the 58th minute. Matt Williams (Pensacola, Fla./North Florida) added his fourth goal of the season when he flicked one in past Bison keeper James Thurmond to knot the game up at one.

With just under 20 minutes to play, Cabral would net the deciding goal to lift the Argos past the Bison 2-1.

In the match the Argos out shot the Bison 14-11, nine of which were on goal.

The Argos return back home this week as the men will take on Christian Brothers University on October 11th at 3pm CT here at the UWF Soccer Complex.
