Saint Leo Lions men’s soccer sophomore sensation Jonathan Glenn was named Offensive Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week; it was announced Monday by SSC Commissioner Michael J. Marcil.
Glenn (Maloney Gardens, Trinidad & Tobago) helped put the Lions back into the conference title hunt with a pair of SSC victories last week.  Glenn was the catalyst in a crucial 2-1 road win against the Florida Southern College Moccasins, as he opened the game with his sixth goal of the season.  He continued his excellent play three days later against the visitors from Barry University, punching in his seventh goal of the season, while adding an assist in the 3-2 triumph.

The offensive outburst puts Glenn second on the team in goals scored with seven goals. His two assists tie him with two others on the squad for third. He has tallied 16 points on the 2008 season.

Glenn is the second men's soccer player and the sixth Lions’ athlete of the fall to be honored with the award.

The Lions look to continue their hot play with a non-conference match-up on October 21 with Southeastern University. Kickoff is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. on the campus of Saint Leo University.
