Senior defender Yohance Marshall received two national awards for his play during the BIG EAST Tournament. He was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week and the TopDrawerSoccer.com College Team of the Week.
“I am grateful to receive these awards,” said Marshall. “I think hard work is paying off. All of it came down to all the hard work of my teammates and coaches.”
Marshall anchored a solid defense that secured a 2-1 win over Notre Dame and a 1-0 OT win over St. John’s to claim the BIG EAST Tournament Championship.
The Malabar Arima, Trinidad native also earned the BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
