The mens soccer team of Maine Fort Kent blazed a trail Sunday afternoon at Alumni Memorial Field against the Paul Smith’s College of upper New York, winning 11-1 in Sunrise Conference play. Seasoned vets Jermaine West (New Baalbec, Jamaica) and Henley Comrie (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) scored two each with the help of a strong supporting Bengal cast. Seven other Bengal players scored in the contest. The lone goal for the Bobcats of Paul Smith’s College was scored by Kamaruzaman Mohammed (Bronx, NY) in the fifteenth minute of the contest.

Giovanni Sinclair (JR St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) and David Girouard (FR St-Eustache, Quebec) combined for the win in goal for UMFK with zero saves on one shot. PSC keeper Ryan Zeigler made 11 saves on 22 shots. UMFK held a 31-2 advantage in overall shots on the day.
