The Graceland men's soccer team took the field tonight against a tough Culver Stockton team looking for their first conference win.  The Yellowjackets fell behind in the 22nd minute on a Wildcat goal by Brady Weinhold. The team responded in the 36th minute with an equalizing goal from senior defender Dwight Belfon-Cave (Point Fortin, Trinidad & Tobago).  Going into the half, the two teams were deadlocked but a determined Yellowjacket team emerged from the locker room looking for the go-ahead goal. The second half proved to be a physical match with yellow cards being handed out to both teams.  After several attempts, the Jackets were finally able to capitalize on a stunning ball from junior midfielder Aaron Cairns (Glasgow, Scotland) to freshman forward Andy Quintanilla (Brampton, Ontario) who slotted the ball away for the game-winning goal.  The men were able to successfully defend the lead and came away with the 2-1 win.

The Yellowjackets improve their record to 3-5-1 overall and 1-0 in HAAC play. They will next face the Vikings of Missouri Valley this Saturday in Lamoni at 7:30pm at the Rasmussen Sports Complex.
