Three Mid-Continent University men's soccer players have earned All-TranSouth Athletics Conference honors for 2010 with sophomore defender Gilles Nziengui (Gabon/Lansing, MI/New Covenant Christian School) on the All-TSAC first team and senior midfielder Marcio Das Neves (Porto Alegre, Brazil) and freshman forward Keagan Bacchus (Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago) on the All-TSAC second team list.

Bethel University forward Mario Vila Boa, a two-time NAIA All-American, was named TSAC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, and Jason Elliott from Freed-Hardeman University was named TSAC Coach of the Year after guiding Freed-Hardeman from last place in the conference race to a third-place finish. Bethel University's Mohammed Dumbuya received TSAC Freshman of the Year honors.

Nziengui, pictured above on the right, plays center back on Mid-Continent's defensive back line and helped MCU record three shutout victories and hold opponents to just one goal in six other matches. Nziengui also scored one goal and assisted on two others.

Das Neves (Porto Alegre, Brazil), pictured on the left, earned second team honors for the second consecutive season and also is a two-time TSAC Scholar-Athlete honoree. He led MCU with five assists this season in the center of the Cougar offensiveflow. Bacchus, pictured on the right, scored six goals and two assists with match-winning goals in conference matches against Union University and Freed-Hardeman during his first season at Mid-Continent. MCU recorded an 8-10-1 record and placed second in the conference standings with a 5-2 record.
