Trinidad and Tobago Football Association President David John-Williams officially met with the  President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino today at the FIFA Headquarters in Zurich.

This was the first official visit of a President of a Caribbean Member Association to Infantino since his election as FIFA President last February.

A wide range of topics were discussed relating to football development in Trinidad and Tobago including Leagues, Grassroots and Youth development, Women’s football and Facilities. Further information on these discussions and developments will be relayed in due course following John-Williams return to Trinidad this week.

Last week John-Williams was appointed to the FIFA Players’ Status Committee for the period 2017-2021. The FIFA Players’ Status Committee (PSC) shall set up and monitor compliance with the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players and determine the status of Players for various FIFA competitions.

Its powers of jurisdiction are governed by the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players. The relevant decisions are published on FIFA.com.
