His team was virtually out of the running of the Malaysia Cup spot but Kordell continued to display a high level of professionalism by single-handedly destroying Malaysia Cup bound Pahang FA with another virtuoso performance.
In the 9th minute, Kordell cut in from the left wing and dribbled past 2 Pahang defenders. He then faked a shot with my left foot before slipping it to the his fellow forward to put PDRM FA 1 up.
His next assist arrived in the 35th minute, when he sprinted past his marker on the right wing and squared the ball back for his teammate to make it 2-0. Pahang pulled a goal back in the 43rd minute to half the deficit at halftime.
In the 58th min, Kordell skillfully controlled a cross from his captain with his thigh and laid it back for one of the midfielders to increase the lead to 3-1.
In what was probably his last game for PDRM FA, Kordell received a pass from the right side from his forward in the 79th minute and hit a first time bullet from outside the 18-yard box to put the game beyond Pahang's reach at 4-1.
Pahang FA saved its blushes with a consolation goal 3 minutes later but it was not enough to steal the thunder from man-of-the-match, Kordell Samuel.
PDRM FA has expressed their willingness to retain Kordell for next season but the big T&T forward is still mulling over other opportunities from Ireland, Malta, Vietnam, India, Singapore and Australia.
He said,"I know how much PDRM values me and I am grateful to them for giving me an opportunity to make a name in Asia. All I am thinking now is to have a good break and catch up with my family and friends back home.
I will discuss with my representative, Trebol Sports International on the different opportunities which have arisen and make a decision in a week or two."
