With Ruiz and Mina on board, it appears Cornell Glen's time in Dallas is over before it got started. The former MetroStars striker and Trinidad and Tobago international came to Dallas in the off-season in exchange for a first-round draft pick.

But he became expendable when FC Dallas acquired Carlos Ruiz. And when Roberto Mina finally showed up after interminable visa delays, the club needed to make a roster move.

Glen, who never played a minute here, wasn't at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday. Team officials had no comment on his absence, but a league source said the club has arranged a trade with Columbus for a second-round pick and a junior international roster spot. The trade will be completed sometime this week, according to the source.
