The Magpies are determined to bring their form back to Meadow Lane this weekend, says Andre Boucaud.
Notts made it back-to-back wins on Tuesday night with a 2-1 triumph over Sc**thorpe United in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
In the most recent home fixture, County were defeated 1-0 by Walsall, which has been the only occasion that the team has dropped points in the opening four games.
Boucaud heads up this Saturday’s edition of #themag, the club’s official matchbook, and speaks about how that loss still bugs the players and their determination to put it right by continuing a promising start to the season with another three points.
“The fans can see that we’re trying to play in the right way and do the right things,” he told #themag.
“I think Walsall was just a hiccup, it was a late error by all of us guys.
“The home fans here have been great and we know they’re going to cheer us on so we’ll go out there and give it our all.
“I think the result was a wake up call to us because we had a lot of the ball and I don’t think they had any clear-cut chances.
“At the end of the day, they came away with the three points, which we were gutted about.
“We’re not going to take it lightly and we’re going to go into today’s match with our full attention on gaining three points.
“We’ve got nine points out of 12 now and I believe that’s a great start.
“We’ve got to continue it, because it doesn’t make sense winning the last two or three game and then going on to lose two or three games.
“We’ve got to be consistent and stay where we are now in the league.”
