Kendall JagdeosinghTinsulanon Stadium, located in Songkhla, Thailand, was the scene of a man-of-the-match performance yesterday by Trinidad and Tobago International, Kendall Jagdeosingh. In a clinical display of his finishing ability, Jaggy scored the second hat-trick of his professional career, in a 4-2 defeat of home side, Wuachon United. The victory ensured Chainat FC's survival in the Thailand Premier League for the 2013 season.

In a see-saw match, Jagdeosingh got the visitors on the board in the 23rd minute, only for Wanit Jaisaen to equalize for the home side in the 40th minute. However, Chainat were able to go into the half-time break with a 2-1 advantage, courtesy a 43rd minute penalty from the T&T marksman. Lee Dong Won put Chainat further ahead in the 55th minute, but Wuachon were able to reduce the deficit in the 64th minute through Puritat Jarikanon's penalty. Jagdeosingh then stamped his authority on the match, by crowning off his hat-trick in the 73rd minute, and restoring Chainat's two-goal cushion.

Jagdeosingh's heroics meant that Thai Port FC, BB-CU FC, and TTM Chiang Mai were the clubs relegated to Yamaha League One. With their top-flight status secured, Chainat can now look forward to the last game of the season, at home to Army United.

A late-season flourish has brought Jagdeosingh seven goals in his last six games. Will it be enough for him to be included in T&T's squad for the Caribbean Cup semi-final round in November? Time will tell.
