Daphne High School athletic director Glenn Vickery announced that the school had hired Dean Logan to be the new girls soccer coach on Wednesday.

Logan is a former University of Mobile soccer player (2003-06) who also played for the New Orleans Shell Shockers and the Trinidad and Tobago-U17, U20, U23, Senior Mens National Team.

Logan has made coaching stops at McGill-Toolen (2011), University of Mobile (2007-10) and UMS-Wright (2008-09).

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to build a strong and competitive program that will allow the girls to excel, both on and off the field of play,” Logan said. “My goal is to develop a soccer team that can play attractive and exciting soccer, which will allow the girls to have lots of fun while doing it.

“I look forward to preparing the team for the next high school season so that we can go out there and compete at the highest level.”
