Caledonia AIA's Guyanese born Trinidad and Tobago international left-back Aubrey David has signed with Finnish Premier League club FF Jaro on a season long loan deal.
FF Jaro (Fotbollsföreningen Jaro Jalkapalloseura) is a Finnish football club, based in the bilingual town of Jakobstad. It currently plays in the Finnish Premier League Veikkausliiga. Home matches are played at the 3,000 capacity stadium Jakobstads Centralplan. The team is coached by Russian-born Aleksei Borisovich Yeryomenko.
On the heels of Aubrey David’s successful trial at FF Jaro, the club has now offered a trial to Caledonia AIA defender, Akim Armstrong as they aim to finish this season in the top 3. FF Jaro ended last season in 10th place and club management has great ambitions to take the club up another level.
David meanwhile, a former national Under-17 and U-20 defender, has been one of the consistent players coming out of the T&T youth system and has been a regular in the pool of T&T senior players for the past year or more.
The 23-year-old David has made 16 appearances for the T&T team with a solitary goal to his name. David will join up with local striker Shahdon Winchester who had a stint with the club last season while on loan from W Connection. The former Under 23 striker did relatively good in his first season that he was given another season long extension.
David told the club's website: "I thank God for this opportunity. One of my dream has come true. I look forward to the start of a series, because we have a very, very good team together, added David."
David also send a message to the SWO and it's supporters thanking them for their continued support.
