Louisville City FC, the new professional soccer team that will kick off its inaugural season campaign on March 28th at Louisville Slugger Field, announced three more acquisitions to the club. Goalkeeper Gregory Ranjitsingh, English forward, Cameron Lancaster and Serbian forward Ilija Ilic.
Ranjitsingh is a 22-year-old from Pickering, Ontario. In his four years as the starting goalkeeper at Mercer University, Ranjitsingh led the conference in many statistical categories including save percentage and average goals allowed. He finished his collegiate career as one of the top keepers in the country. In one preseason game with Louisville, Ranjitsingh registered a clean sheet in a 5-0 win over Lindsey-Wilson.
“We invited Greg to come on-loan to us a few weeks ago,” O’Connor said. “During his time with us he proved that he has the skills to be a quality goalkeeper. Obviously we are excited to have gotten Greg here and thrilled to have him here in Louisville.”
Lancaster, Ilic, Ranjitsingh and the rest of the Louisville City FC squad continue their preparation for the club’s inaugural season. Season tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting LouisvilleCityFC.com or by calling 502-384-8799.
