It will be another tough task for Kaya FC coach Fabien Lewis when they take on leaders Ceres La Salle FC in tonight’s UFL match at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Kaya showed signs of weakness last week against Pachanga Diliman but came away strong in the second half to win the match, 4-1.

“(It was a) very important win for the confidence for the players and for the team,” said Lewis. “We want to make this league as competitive as possible. ”

However, Lewis will need to dig deep in his bench to replace Louis Clark. The winger was sent off after a brief altercation with one of the Pachanga players last week.

“We have to respect with the decision (of the referee),” said Lewis. “We have players who can fill in his position.”

St. Kitts and Nevis striker Tishan Hanley netted a hat-trick to hand Kaya the 4-1 win to the delight of Lewis. The Kaya coach hopes that his “goalscoring trend” continues.

“I’m very happy that (Hanley) scored,” said Lewis. “(Hanley’s) goals give him confidence (as a striker).”
