Millwall defender Carlos Edwards has capped off an excellent couple of months both for himself and the club by penning a contract extension to the end of the season.
Having recovered from that serious knee ligament injury sustained against Nottingham Forest in September 2014, Carlos has forced his way back into the side and The Lions have lost only two of the 11 games in which he has featured since.
At the age of 37, The Lions' right-back is clearly as focused and fired up as ever, and he now has his sights firmly set on helping Neil Harris' men continue their upward mobility.
"They say hard work pays off and the contract extension was something the club and I were working towards for some time," Carlos told millwallfc.co.uk
"The club has kept its promise and now I'm looking to help Millwall back to the Championship.
"I had no doubt that once I got my head down I would be back playing, and now I'm enjoying every moment.
"I'm not someone who suffers from self-doubt. I want to play and I was determined to force my way back into the team. I'm not going to take my foot off the pedal becasue I've got a deal to the end of the season.
"I'm looking for us as a group and as a club is to push on and try to win promotion."
