I AM not sure what the future holds for me at Port Vale. I haven't formally responded to the club's contract offer, although I did speak to Michael Brown about it last week.
He said the door wasn't shut on me, but I have seen in the press that the chairman has said since then that there won't be any more negotiations with players who are out of contract.
I felt I took my big pay cut this time last year when I took a drop in wages of more than 50 per cent. This time I have been asked to take another cut of 25 to 30 per cent, and also I do want to play more games which is a major factor.
It's 15 years since I made my debut for Vale and I have been on a long journey with the club since then, including two spells in administrations.
I will always be grateful to Micky Adams for bringing me back to Vale for a second spell. If I was to go then I will go feeling I have always done my best for the Vale. But I will also go with a lot of fond memories about a club which has done a lot for me.
