National team women's custodian, Kimika Forbes, is set for her debut in the Women's Copa Libertadores which kicks off today in Uruguay.

Forbes signed with Paraguay champions, Limpeño Sportivo, in November and played in the final three matches with clean sheets and helped her team secure the number one spot in the 2016 Paraguay Women's League. That league victory also qualifies them for the Copa Libertadores in 2017.

Limpeño is in Group A with Universario Deportes (Peru), Colón FC (Uruguay) and Deportivo UAI Urquiza (Argentina). Their first match kicks off against Peruvian outfit, Universario Deportes and Forbes is very excited about the opportunity and knows she has a lot on her shoulders for the upcoming matches in the tournament.

Forbes is the first and only international player that Limpeño has ever signed and she hopes that this will open up many opportunities for her teammates and other Caribbean players as there will soon be a Women's Professional League in Colombia, starting in 2017.
