T&T senior football team defender Radanfah Abu Bakr opened the scoring for Churchill Brothers but could not stop them losing 2-1 to Indian Arrows in the Indian I-League on Saturday.
The 32-year-old Abu Bakr, in his first season with the club after joining from Tira-Persikabo in Lithuania, netted his first goal of the season with a header three minutes before halftime to give Churchill Brothers a 1-0 lead.
However, in the 78th minute Moirangtehm Givson Singh drew Indian Arrows level before Telem Suranjit Singh snatched a 90th minute winner for Arrows to earn a first win in four matches on the 11-team table
Fellow T&T defender Robert Primus was cautioned in the 89th minute for Churchill Brothers while striker Willis Plaza, the joint topscorer in the competition last year with 21 goals, failed to get add to his three goals on the season as they suffered a first loss in three matches.
