KEVIN Austin vowed to seek justice after his Doncaster dismissal - insisting: "I want to appeal."
The Swansea City centre-back received the fifth red card of his career after just 11 minutes.
But Austin said: "It wasn't a sending-off.
"I did make minimal contact with the ball, but the referee told me afterwards he didn't see it. Also, I thought the player was going away from goal.
"I would like to appeal, but we'll make that decision in the cold light of day."
But Austin's manager Kenny Jackett is not so sure about pleading the player's case.
"Appeals often get you nowhere," said the Swans boss.
"However, I did think the decision wasn't right. I thought Kevin played the ball but got a bit of the man too."
As it stands, Austin will be unavailable for Swansea's Boxing Day clash at fellow League One promotion-chasers Brentford.
Captain Roberto Martinez and Kevin McLeod will also miss that match through suspension after collecting five yellow cards.
In addition, Alan Tate pulled out of yesterday's loss with a calf injury and joins Izzy Iriekpen and Kris O'Leary, who both have knee problems, on the sick list.
That leaves Jackett with a selection crisis, particularly in defence, but he said: "We have to overcome that - it happens to every club and you can't make excuses."
