Teenager Lester Peltier has accepted an extended trial with Cardiff City.

The attacking midfield player from Trinidad and Tobago is due to spend a couple of days training with Arsenal from tomorrow, but has agreed to be back with Cardiff on Monday.

Peltier, 18, has already had a trial at Millwall and scored a hat-trick in a private reserve team friendly, while Cardiff are clearly keen on the teenager.

'Cardiff have invited Lester back and it looks certain that's what will happen,' said the player's Cardiff-based agent Paul Mohamed.

'Lester is a young player with tremendous talent and, personally, it would be great if Cardiff give him a chance.'

The Bluebirds have asked Peltier's club, San Juan, for the go-ahead to keep him for an extended trial.

That permission looks certain to be given.

Jason Marcano, a second player from Trinidad and Tobago who has been on trial with Cardiff is heading home.

Marcano, 23, also plays for San Juan Tabloteh.

The Bluebirds also seem keen on Polish striker Jakob Cubrala.

The 17-year-old from Polish club Swit, who is 6ft 3ins tall, has impressed during a trial spell.

None of the three players are able to play for Cardiff City's reserves, apart from private friendlies, because the international transfer window is closed.
