Local defender Atiba Charles is headin out to Sweden for a trial with First Division club Ljungskile SK (LSK). Charles who rejoined W Connection last season after a stint with Irish team Glenavon, will hope to better his overseas experience this time after linking up with MLF Sports.
Charles, a member of the T&T 2006 World Cup squad said he was hopeful of securing a deal as his main ambition at the moment is sign on with an overseas club.
“I am looking forward to playing in Sweden , having played in Trinidad for a while I am ready to get back to Europe . I think I will do a good job for the coach in Sweden,' Charles said.
MLF's Heather McKenzie was also keeping her fingers crossed that Charles would impress.
“After visiting LSK last month, I am confident that this club is a great place for Atiba to showcase his talent and technical skills," she added.
