Coventry City have confirmed there have been no bids for midfielder Chris Birchall.
The Trinidad & Tobago international has been told by Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman that he is free to look for another club.

Birchall spent the first half of last season on loan at St Mirren and has been linked with a move to Carlisle United.

Reports have claimed the League One club have made an offer for Birchall, but Coventry chairman Ray Ranson insists this is not the case.

"That's news to me," Ranson told the Coventry Evening Telegraph regarding a purported bid from Carlisle.

"We've had a bit of interest in a couple of players, but nothing really firm yet - these things will progress between now and the end of the season."
