Jlloyd Samuel has called on the full backing of Wanderers fans as the club enter a make-or-break month.
With 24 points up for grabs in December, the full-back believes the next six games will dictate whether or not the Whites will face a fight against relegation for the rest of the season.
Despite showing some promising signs in the 1-1 draw at Fulham on Saturday, Wanderers remain in the bottom three heading into this weekend’s game against fellow strugglers Wolves.
And Samuel reckons it is vital that the club head to Molineux showing a united front on and off the pitch.
“The fans more than ever have got to stay behind us,” he said. “By them criticising us, it isn’t going to help at all.
“We are sticking together, staying positive and have got a game against Wolves to look forward to now.
“Every game is a big game in the Premier League because no-one gives you an easy ride.
“But we have got a big December against teams in and around ourselves, so we have got to look to capitalise on that as best as we can.”
Saturday’s battling point at Craven Cottage provided at least a partial answer to those questioning Wanderers’ hunger to climb out of the bottom three.
Samuel has no doubt that the dressing room remains undivided — and with games against Manchester City, West Ham, Wigan, Burnley and Hull following in December, it is hoped that the New Year will bring a much-improved league position.
“We have got a good bunch of lads here,” said Samuel. “We keep happy and in high spirits and hopefully we can kick on now,” he said.
“It has been the same since I have been here. Everyone sticks together and works hard for each other — that shouldn’t be in doubt when you see us.
“We’re hoping we have turned a corner now, and we can go on to take more points and climb up the table.”
