Scunthorpe United manager Brian Laws has been looking at Dundee United forward Collin Samuel.
The forward has been training with the Iron squad for the last two days and played in a behind closed doors practice match at Doncaster on Tuesday.
Samuel was on target scoring one of the goals as the Iron went down 3-2 against Rovers.
The Trinidad striker, who joined Dundee United for £100,000, has made 15 starts scoring two goals.
"He is a player I have been impressed with," explained Brian Laws.
"We are interested in bringing him here but are looking at getting international clearance for the player."
Meanwhile the Iron have also had a look at Preston forward Joe O'Neill who also scored in the practice match.
