Torquay United & Trinidad and Tobago midfielder Jake Thomson gunning for FA Cup meeting with old pal Theo Walcott.Torquay United midfielder Jake Thomson is dreaming that victory over Brighton will lead to a clash against Arsenal and his old friend Theo Walcott.

Thomson - on loan from Southampton - knows Arsenal and England star Walcott from their days in the Southampton youth team.

The Trinidad and Tobago international is confident League Two side Torquay can spring a surprise against League One's Brighton in a clash of two seaside clubs and set up the possibility of a big draw in the fourth round.

He said: "I came through the same youth teams as Theo - and Gareth Bale - at Saints. We have hung out together since we were kids in the club’s under 13 and under 14 sides and still ring each other up regularly and meet up for a meal or the movies.

"It was always obvious Theo and Gareth were going to be stars but since arriving here I’ve been in the form of my life and its games like this which give me a real chance of showing what I’m all about.

"A win against Brighton could set up something quite amazing - a clash against a Premiership club, preferably Arsenal and Theo, and who knows where life would go from here?

"Brighton won’t fancy coming here. It’s a tough place to come particularly now after we've scored 18 goals in the last seven games.
