Kevin Austin and Paul Terry have become the latest new Darlington signings at The Northern Echo Arena.
The pair have been on trial recently and today each put pen to paper on one-year deals and both played in this evening's friendly at Spennymoor Town which ended 0-0.
Experienced defender Austin, 37, was also offered a contract at fellow Blue Square Bet Premier side Barrow but turned it down to become part of Mark Cooper's squad.
Midfielder Terry, 31, has played for various clubs, including Dagenham, Yeovil and Leyton Orient, but is better known as being the elder brother of England and Chelsea star John.
"We're delighted to sign them both up," said Cooper.
"They both offer us valuable experience at both Conference level but also from the Football League.
"They'll offer us something we didn't have before as well as increasing the competition for places so we're pleased from that point of view."
Hackney-born Austin has played for Lincoln, Barnsley, Brentford, Cambridge, Kettering and Bristol Rovers while the defender, who can play as a left-sided centre-back or a left-back, spent the last two seasons with Chesterfield. Terry was with Rushden and Diamonds last season.
Their arrivals take the number of new additions at Quakers since the end of last season up to 11.
The season starts on August 14 with a home game against Newport County.
