Former national youth team winger, Sean Cooper scored two goals to earn Sport Vereniging Transvaal a 2-2 draw with Robin Hood when matches in the Suriname Premier Division continued at Andre Kamperveen Stadium, Paramaribo earlier this week.
Cooper, who played locally with Futgof, bmobile Joe Public and Tobago United missed the enire first round of the league due to a hamstring injury but has now netted seven goals in as many matches for the Surinamese club. In the previous round, Cooper, also found the net in a 2-1 loss to table leaders Inter Moengotapoe.
With the draw on Sunday night, SV Transvaal stayed third on the ten-team table 24 points from 13 matches while Robin Hood is seventh with 11 points.
Inter leads with 33 points, one more than Walking Boys, both from 12 matches. At the end of the 18-match schedule, the top six teams will contest a playoff to determine the champions via home-and-away matches. Cooper also enjoyed a stint in Brazil where he played with Club Athletico Penapolence of Sao Paulo.
