Orlando City Soccer Club is proud to announce Dennis Chin, a native of Oviedo and Rollins College alum, and Justin Fojo, a Lake Mary native, have signed with the team, pending US Soccer Federation approval.
“With both Justin and Dennis, we see the potential for growth,” said Head Coach Adrian Heath.
“They know this is the first step of a long road. What’s important is they both want to be professional players. They try very hard, they train well, and they give themselves the best chance.
I’ve seen loads of players who had all the talent, but lacked the desire to be a professional and don’t want to do all of the hard work. These two are prepared and committed enough to do that.”
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Justin Fojo grew up in Lake Mary, playing at Lake Mary High School. He played his college soccer at the College of Charleston.
He was named to the College Soccer News All Freshman team, and was also named to the All Southern Conference team. Fojo has dual citizenship with Trinidad and the United States.
While in college, he was called up by the Trinidad and Tobago national team for a friendly against El Salvador, but he did not play.
"This is truly a dream come true,” said Fojo. “Ever since I was 12 years old, I distinctly remember telling myself how great it would be to play professionally."
Fojo saw limited time during the preseason as he was finishing up his degree at the College of Charleston.
He played in two matches, starting once before returning to school. He will join the team next week after completing his classes.
