Grimsby Town 3 (Hockless, Marcelle, Soames) York 2
The Mariners came back from two goals down to win thanks to second half goals from Graham Hockless, Clint Marcelle and Davis Soames. Former Mariner Paul Robinson again came back to haunt Town, scoring the Minstermen's second goal.
Grimsby Town Reserves take on York City in a Pontins Holidays League game at Blundell Park today (2pm). The Mariners will include two new trialists against the Minstermen. Colin Cramb, a striker from Shrewsbury and Anthony Hudson, who is the son of former Chelsea and Arsenal legend Alan, will start for Graham Rodger's side. Cramb is an experienced forward in his late twenties who had successful spells with Crewe and Bristol City. He scored 12 goals for the Shrews last season, a great achievement given that his appearances were limited by injuries and illness.
Town: Fraser, Wheeler, Marcelle, Young, Mumford, Hudson, Bull, Lamb, Hockless, Soames, Cramb.
Subs: Booth, Hildred, Heggarty, Hyam.
