A member of the 2001 Trinidad & Tobago Olympic National football team.
From 2002 to 2003, Fitpatrick trained with the Cincinnati Riverhawks of the A-League and the developmental team of the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer. Leslie is a very dynamic left-footed player, versatile enough to play two or three positions. Leslie made his T&T senior team debut against Puerto Rico on the 24th of November 2004 and had an outstanding workhorse performance in that game, he showed a positive attitude with great energy and tackling ability.
