Police FC overpowered Defence Force in the Under 14 and Under 16 divisions of the 2011-12 season Oasis Youth League on Sunday with convincing 4-0 and 6-0 victories in Round One Match Day Two.
Tereque Healey (37th and 48th minutes) netted on either side of the half following earlier strikes by Antonio De Matas (9th minute) and Nicholas Emmanuel (25th minute) for the U14s.
And in the U16s, Brent Sam (11th and 52nd minute) struck a double while Joshua Salandy (12th minute), Andrew Macedo(38th minute), Carlton Alfonso (65th minute) and Brandon Lalchan (66th minute) notched an item each for the Police FC which adopted the Dion La Foucade Academy as its youth teams.
But in the U18 division, Defence Force avoided a Police hattrick by registering a 4-1 win with Charles Hadden (39th minute), Tariq Roachford (43rd minute), Renard Celestine (47th minute) and Denzel Woods (70th minute) all finding the back of the net. Police FC’s Jabari Thomas netted his side lone item in the 65th minute.
In other results W Connection U14 and U18 divisions continued winning form by defeating Caledonia AIA 3-0 and 2-0 respectively but suffered a 0-2 defeat in the U16s.
North East Stars were held to a 2-2 draw and 1-1 draw in the U14 and U18 divisions against T&TEC FC and in the U16s the Stars were edged 2-1.
San Juan Jabloteh started high with a 4-2 win over St. Ann’s Rangers in the U14s but a steady decline saw the U16s only managing a 1-1 draw and the U18s suffer a 3-2 defeat.

San Juan Jabloteh got the better of St. Ann’s Rangers in the U14 Division of the Oasis Youth Pro League due to hard work and persistence. The game kicked off at 10:02am and both teams looked sharp and ready for the task ahead.
Maciek Hoyte for St. Ann’s Rangers was able to penetrate San Juan Jablolteh’s defence due to a defensive blunder when a back pass which missed its intended target was intercepted by Hoyte who capitalized on the error and was able to ensure that Rangers went one up within 7 mintues.
A good through ball by Alejandro Otero met with Mickel Walkes who made no mistake in the 13th minute of play. Good passing by both teams and even better defending was able to keep the score line level for the first half which ended at 1-1
Yevan Rajpaul the “lion hearted” continued to secure Jabloteh’s defence as Raheam Borde and his men continued to aggressively attack Jabloteh’s goalpost.
Their determination saw them taking the lead in the 34 minute with a string of passes being made down the right side, to the middle unto Hoyte who did not miss his target.
However, San Juan Jabloteh picked themselves up and took the bull by the horns and began to attack St. Ann’s Rangers’ defence with grit and determination having 4 corners in 10 minutes and six shots on goal.
With the continued assault on Rangers’ defence the inevitable transpired as in the48 minuted Anthony Samuel brought San Juan Jabloteh back into the game and if that was not enough Samuel took them ahead in the 56 minute.
The two quick goals put the fire in the eyes of Jabloteh’s young stewards as Kerdell Sween got in on the action within four minutes and gave Jabloteh a convincing lead in the 60 minute.
The match was not short of excitement and intensity as players from both teams showed their football prowess with killer passes, slide tackles, creativity and most of all great finishes.
