After a tense and almost frantic match between the two local football giants—Vibe CT 105 W Connection prevailed coming from behind to snatch a 2-1 victory over CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh and W Connection now sit pretty, three points clear at the top of the table with maximum six points from two games.

Both teams came up empty handed in the first half despite a number of close chances on either end of the pitch.

Jabloteh was most unlucky, after dominating the first period—Nicholas Adderly saw his brilliant volley superbly saved by Connection keeper Figueroa—then in the fifteenth minute Devon Mitchell should have scored, when he was put through with only the keeper to beat and somehow he shot over the bar.

Connection also had their fare share of chances, one in particular was when Jose Luis Seabra was also in a one on one scenario with the goalkeeper and the Brazilian shot crashed against the crossbar.

It was not until the 62nd minute that skipper Angus Eve fired Jabloteh into a deserved lead—but it was however, short-lived, as Connection striker Andre Toussaint was brought down in the area and was awarded a penalty, which he himself stepped up and converted to put Connection back on even footing.

But four minutes later Jefferson Goulart in true Brazilian fashion scored a beauty of a direct free kick from some twenty yards out and sent the W Connection fans at the Ato Boldon Stadium wild—Connection stealing sweet victory from Jabloteh.
