Defending Digicel Pro League champions DIRECTV W Connection continued its rollercoaster ride this season by defeating cellar positioned T&TEC FC 3-1 on Saturday in the second match of a double header at the Marvin Lee Stadium.

The victory saw Connection, yet to record consecutive League wins, rebound from last weekend's disappointing 2-0 loss against North East Stars.

The Stars were also in action on Saturday but only managed a point against seventh positioned St. Ann's Rangers following a 0-0 draw in the earlier Round Two Match Day Five fixture at the Macoya venue.

Rangers again being the stubborn opponents that held the Stars to a 2-2 draw last November in Round One.

And in the second contest T&TEC slumped to the bottom of the table with just 4 points from 1 win, 1 draw and 10 defeats, avoided another high scoring defeat following last weekend's 6-0 loss against second positioned Caledonia.

Connection defeated the 'Electric Boys' 7-0 in Round One, but on Saturday night only managed to get three past the Dexter Cyrus coached-outfit this time around.

Surinamese striker Stefano Rijssel blasted Connection in front by the 24th minute for a 1-0 advantage. But teenaged T&TEC midfielder Nathaniel Garcia, a student of Shiva Boys, equalised with a solid strike from inside the area to level the scores 1-1.

The Stuart Charles Fevrier coach-Connection fired back with two more goals to comfortably defeat T&TEC.

Hashim Arcia, one of two double goalscorers in the Round One 7-0 win over T&TEC, restored Connection's advantage in the 45th minute for a 2-1 score. And in the 78th minute Andrei Pacheco wrapped up the scoring for the 3-1 finish.

Connection (19 points), seated third, remains 4 points behind Caledonia (23 points) and 10 points away from leaders Defence Force (29 points). While North East Stars sits fourth with 17 points.
