St Ann’s Rangers have an unassailable eight-point lead with just two match days left in the Under-17 division of the Oasis Youth Pro League football competition.

Kadeem Corbin scored three goals, including two in the second half, as Rangers beat North East Stars 3-1 in a top-of-the-table clash, last weekend, for their ninth victory in 12 matches in the division. Corbin opened the scoring in the 36th minute as Rangers led 1-0 at the half. He also netted in the 58th & 86th minutes, before Andell Jones got a 90th-minute consolation item for North East Stars.

Rangers lead the division with 29 points from nine wins, two draws and a single defeat.

Meanwhile, Adriel Kerr scored a hattrick to lead second-placed T&TEC past W Connection 4-1, but they are on 21 points, well adrift of Rangers.

The former second-placed team, North East Stars (20 points) dropped to third after defeat to the new champions, Rangers.
