NEW St Ann’s Rangers coach Jason Spence has had a young bunch of St Ann’s Rangers footballers training for the new Pro League season at the Nelson Mandela (King George V) Park.
Spence was recently promoted to be the club’s head-coach after a successful stint with their women’s team. Former head-coach and player Dean Pacheco is his assistant.
Rangers used mainly an Under-21 team last season and were competitive in most matches although finishing in the ninth (bottom) position last season.
Spence has as an initial objective to move Rangers a few spot up the table. Among the young players turning out for Rangers in training were Jelani Peters, Trevin Latapy, Chad Clinton, Keron Cornwall, Junior Grangers and Shem Alexander.
