St Ann’s Rangers Football Club went down 2-1 at Las Lomas United on Saturday in their first pre-season warm-up match. Kennedey Isles netted a penalty as Rangers FC opened the scoring after Chad Clinton was brought down in the area and led till the half-time break.

The hosts started the second half with great intent, and managed to eg back two quick goals, taking the score to 2-1. The remainder of the game saw Rangers enjoy greater possession and create more chances. However, the scoreline was unchanged at the final whistle.

Rangers used the match as a tactical exercise and physical workout for their players. They later recovered in the pool the following day, before returning to the training field this week. Once again, Rangers will use mainly young players in their Pro League team this season.
