Nicholas Dillon and Nathaniel “Spanish” Garcia are first recipients of a newly-forged partnership between Caribbean club champions Central FC and Patro Eisden Maasmechelen, a team currently 10th in the First Amateur Division (third tier) of Belgian football.
Twenty-year-old Dillon, a Trinidad and Tobago youth international forward, has already signed a contract and “Spanish”—the older brother of Netherland-based winger Levi Garcia—is also due to head to the same club in July. Both players were recently on trial at the Belgian club.
“We are now a gateway to Europe,” Sancho boasted. “We now form a partnership with the Belgium club ‘Patro Eisden,’ and one of the key points in the partnership is the recruitment of the top Caribbean players.
