GARY GLASGOW scored his third goal in two matches since transferring from Chinese club Guangzhou Ziangxue, to lead defending champions National Quarries North East Stars past Tobago United 5-2 in a T&T Pro League match on Tuesday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago.

Glasgow, a former Trinidad and Tobago national striker opened the scoring for Stars in the 22nd minute and five minutes later got his second goal.

And Anthony Wolfe, a reserve with T&T's World Cup qualifying squad, got a second half brace (74th & 83rd), while Kendell Jagdeosingh, a national youth midfielder, also got on the scoresheet.

After trailing 2-0 at the half, Noel Williams scored in the 64th minute to put Tobago United close at 2-1.

However, Jagdeosingh and Wolfe combined to secure victory for Stars, before Williams converted a second goal for Tobago United in the 90th minute from the penalty spot.

Pro League leaders Vibe CT 105 W. Connection will at least have to win one of the Big Six matches to clinch the 2005 league title.

W Connection, runners-up the last three years, would have all but won the title with a victory over Jabloteh on Tuesday.

After being held 1-1 by arch-rivals Jabloteh, W Connection will be crowned this year's champs if they win their next league match.
