Former Starworld Strikers forward Peter Prosper made a bright start at with his new club, CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh, netting a treble in a 8-1 win over cellar-placed Tobago United on Wednesday in the day’s lone T&T Professional Football League match at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago.
Prosper, who played professionally in Switzerland, opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but Tobago United equalised three minutes later through Keeran Foster. Prosper then scored again in the 43rd and 60th minutes.
Trent Noel added two quick goals in the 45th and 46th minutes while defender Keyeno Thomas scored from the penalty spot in the 70th minute to make it 6-1.
Nigel Pierre (86th minute) and Aurtis Whitley (88th) rounded off the scoring.
The win pushed the defending champion team to within one point of the leading North-East Stars.
