Two-time League winning CLICO San Juan Jabloteh coach Terry Fenwick is confident in his charges ahead of Monday’s Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Champions Cup Round Two clash against Inter Moengo Tapoe of Suriname.

“I think our guys have been fantastic throughout pre-season. They are all working hard for the cause and we are not seeing any ‘soft centres’. I think we will have a great showing on Monday night,” said Jabloteh head coach Terry Fenwick.

Jabloteh will host the Surinamese side from 6:30pm at Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in the first match of a double header. While fellow Pro League outfit W Connection will battle Haitian club SA Cavaly from 8:30pm as the Club Champions Cup Second Round home and away series begin.

However, Fenwick isn’t underestimating his Suriname opponents adding, “We don’t know anything about them (Inter Moengo Tapoe) but I think their football is associated with that of Holland and we don’t expect an easy game.”

Jabloteh are without key senior players Trent Noel, Nigel Daniel and Cyd Gray this season. The trio joined United Petrotrin after their contracts expired with their longtime club, Jabloteh.

Meantine Fenwick believes that his youthful squad has gained enough experience over the years.

“A lot of the young guys in my squad now have two League Championships under their belt. We have lost a few players but we still have a fantastic squad and we are now trying to expose them to the region.”

Kevin Molineau and Mikel Williams are a couple of youth players named by the Englishman for promotion into his Senior squad this season. Fenwick is also trying to secure contract arrangements with his U20 defender Sheldon Bateau for the upcoming season.

Veteran players Marvin Oliver and Earl Jean (last season’s signings) are still in Fenwick’s structure this season and will be working alongside younger players such as Ataulla Guerra, Robert Primus, Devon Jamerson and Jerrol Forbes.
