Brazilian coach Ubirajara Veiga Da Silva and his assistant Fabiano Agrippino have been released by Ma Pau SC less than four months since accepting the job in January.
In a release by the club dated April 2, Ma Pau said that a mutual agreement was reached by the executive board members and club’s management to release the duo.

“This extremely difficult decision came after a commonplace could not be met between the coaching and executive staff of the team,”

“Da Silva expressed his discomfort after not being able to adapt to the local culture of Trinidad,” continued the release. Da Silva had his first test in January and successfully led Ma Pau to cop the Finta [invitational] Cup in Brazil.

Ma Pau further stated that top local coaches have expressed their interests and are currently interviewed for the vacant position.
